Toby’s legal domicile is located in Worcester, MA. Despite this, he has had many disputes with the election commission about his voting registration. Worcester is the second largest city in New England due to its location equidistant between several population centers, industrial past and the fact that Providence, RI is full of lefthanders.

Worcester is home to another American icon- the smiley face.  Despite persistent rumors, Toby does not have it out for the smiley face. In fact, Toby got his first job as one of the eyes of a smiley face. It didn’t pay much and he had to spend the whole time standing up but it paid for his first car –a 1996 Geo Metro with kicking flames painted on the side. He named that car “Toby” to confuse people. Generally speaking, it worked and to this day some people still think that Toby is an economy car held together by duct tape with old socks holding up the muffler.
